Langen & Sondermann manufacture coil springs using rods of up to 80mm diameter, up to 8200 mm length and the springs have a maximum overall diameter of up to 450mm. Whether twisting left or right, rolled out or ground directly from the rod, with linear or progressive characteristic - nothing is impossible.
A vast multitude of thousands of different types meets the requirements of a wide range of applications, with new additions every day. Be it for locomotives, goods waggons, rail carriages, railcars, trams or high-speed trains such as ICE and TGV - L&S provide the right springs for all kind of rail vehicles. Also in applications of the machinery industry for example in mountings for pipes, as tension springs in track running gears of construction vehicles or for the vibration isolation of machines and buildings hot formed coil springs made by Langen & Sondermann are used.
One example of our strength in innovation is our patented TKS® spring, a special design of a coil spring, featuring a progressive characteristic line with minimal installation-space requirement, and providing in addition to driving comfort an optimal derailment safety feature.
