Retirement of Authorized Officer Heinz Hermann:

Within a small celebration our authorized officer and manager of the putchasing and sales, Heinz Hermann, was January 27th, 2012 said goog-bye aftermore than 49 years of successful operation at Langen & Sondermann. His successor as authorized officer and manager purchasing and sales is Mrs. Bettina Hick, which has joined the company already in October 2011.

Langen & Sondermann´s Eco-credentials:

Since December 1st, 2010 Langen & Sondermann receives its electrical power from the power company LEKKER Energie GmbH. According to the certificate on the left the electical power delivered to Langen & Sondermann originates at 100% in renewable energies. Langen & Sondermann therefore is actively engeaged in the climate protection.

 

Company Party of Langen & Sondermann was a big Success

As a slightly delayed housewarming party of the production hall extention a company party again took place for the first time in a long while at October 30th, 2010, to which the company management and the works council had invited all employees with their families. The weather joined the game and due to the excellent planning and preparation by a commitee of the works council with its head Mr. Hopf the party became a complete success. Sustenance was excellent provided and a DJ supplied entertainment for the grow-ups, while the kids could rage themselves out in the bounce house and enjoyed themselves on the Segway cours and in the fire brigade´s truck. Briefly speaking: It was a successful event, which has got much positive feedback and which has further improved the solidarity and the working atmosphere.

 

IRIS Certification:

As one of the first companies ever Langen & Sondermann has achieved the IRIS-certification according to the new revision 02! During an audit conducted by Bureau Veritas between January 11th and 13th, 2010 was assessed that Langen & Sondermann fulfills the requirements of the IRIS-standard Rev. 02. This means conincidentally that the quality management system is certified according DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. Both certificates can be downloaded in the Downloads area.

Exhibitions:

2009:

Langen & Sondermann has presented between November 10th to 12th, 2009 in Sao Paulo, Brasil, together with 21 other companies of the railway industry and research institutions a joint booth at the Business on Rails Show. The trade fair took place in the Red Pavilion of the Expo Center Norte. The event is the largest specialized railway engineering exhibition in Latin America. The 22 exhibiting companies included specialised suppliers of railway engineering components and subsystems. The joint booth at the trade fair was supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) The feedback of the professional visitors was very good and also for Langen & Sondermann the trade fair appearence was profitable as many new contacts could be established.

2010:

Langen & Sondermann had a very sucessful presentation at the "Innotrans 2010" September 21st-24th, 2010. Beside good discussions with existing customers there were also a lot of promising new contacts.

Meanwhile we have managed it finally: The extension to the production building is finished. The first facilities have already been moved there. The enlargement of the production area by 10% gives us the possibility to increase our capacity for parabolic springs and their refurbishment to meet the requirements of the market.
